No School: There is no school on Thursday and Friday of this week, November 17 & 18 due to parent conferences.

P/T Conferences: Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Wednesday afternoon and evening and all day Thursday of this week. Please note the time that has been scheduled for you. If this is inconvenient for you, contact your child’s teacher.

Early Dismissal: There will be any early dismissal at 12:30 on Wednesday, November 23rd to begin the Thanksgiving holiday. There is no school on Thursday and Friday, November 24 & 25 for the Thanksgiving break.

Payment Information: Just a reminder if you pay by check that lunch, band, or piano payments cannot be included in the same check with tuition.

Sentinel: There will be no Sentinel published next week. Check Fast Direct if there are any important messages from the school.

SCRIP: There are no SCRIP orders taken the week of November 21st because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Plan ahead to use SCRIP for your holiday shopping and gift ideas.
Only three dates left to order before Christmas: November 28th, December 5th and 12th.
Please order early and let’s make this our best year ever! Watch for order forms including the national list going home this week. If you have any Scrip questions, please call the school office.

Market Day: Thank you for your support of Market Day especially the extra desserts this month. The first grade class had the most pies ordered, so Miss Homan will be giving Mr. Mickley a pie in the face soon!

Box Tops: If you are a on-line shopper, go to btfe.com/marketplace to find a host of companies that provide e Box Tops to receive box tops including Wal-Mart, Lego, Barnes & Noble, etc.

Yearbook: Andrea Cantrall, Chairman of our Yearbook committee is looking for pictures to place in the Yearbook. If you have some to share, please place on a CD and you can leave at the office with Andrea’s name on it.

FOOD DRIVE & SHADES DAY

The student council is sponsoring a food drive for Thanksgiving. All items collected will be given to the food pantry at St. John's Lutheran Church in Green Valley. Each class has been assigned an item to bring in. If you bring in an item for your class, you can WEAR YOUR SUNGLASS ALL DAY at school on Wednesday, Nov. 23! Let's help others and have some fun wearing our shades at school. Please have all donations to school by Wednesday, Nov. 23. If you have any questions, please contact the school or Mrs. Williams(6th grade). Thank you in advance for all your help!

Auction: Plan now to attend the 6th annual GSLS Benefit Auction to be held on Saturday, March 17th. Tickets are available now and make great Christmas gifts. Cost is $45.00/person. All proceeds go to pay off our loan on the new school building and provide extra curriculum and equipment for the school.
