MRS. BRUSH - 5th & 6TH Grade
5th grade is an exciting year at Good Shepherd. Students in 5th grade participate in the Math Bowl, Bible Bowl, Spelling Bee and Young Author Competition. They also have the lead roles in the spring musical. We work hard at being responsible for our own school work, being independent learners and being respectful of others.
Math
We learn to... In English we learn the parts of speech and grammar. We also learn to edit and revise writing. We learn and practice expository, descriptive, narrative and persuasive writing. Students classify sentences marking the part of speech of each word in the sentence and the type of sentence. |
Reading
