Discipline Plan:  Hopping to Good Behavior

We use a “stoplight” classroom management system.  All students begin each day with their frog on the green lily pad.

If they break a rule, they will be told to move their frog to yellow lily pad.  This means that they will spend 5 minutes standing against the wall during recess.

If they break another rule in the same day, they will move their frog to the red lily pad.  This means they will sit out during one recess and take a “red light” note home to their parents telling what occurred that day.  The note must be signed by parents and returned the next day.

At the end of each day the students will get their hand stamped with a green frog if they were on green for the day.  Students can show the stamp to the parents to show their good behavior.

Review of Discipline Plan

    *   Hand stamped green at the end of day to show good behavior.

    *    Miss 5 minutes of recess, no stamp on hand

    *   Miss 1 recess, note home to parents, no stamp on hand.
