Funding Opportunities
Scrip: Good Shepherd is part of the nation wide SCRIP gift certificate program. Gift certificates for local businesses and nation wide chains can be purchased at the school and at the three churches. This cost you nothing and assists in supporting the school since the businesses return a percentage of the certificate to the school. You also benefit because half of the money the school receives provides money to pay school fees, tuition, latchkey fills, etc. Orders are to be in the school office by 10:00 on Monday with delivery of certificates on Thursday. Contact the school office for more information.

Market Day: The Market Day program provides you with delicious mealtime and snack time treats. It also provides Good Shepherd with added income. Orders for the August 8th pick-up at school are to be in to the school office or to Penny or Kathi by July 25. Order forms are available at the school or the three churches. You may order on line at www.marketday.com until August 3rd• Call Penny Bollinger at 545-3086 or Kathi Thomas at 353-4331 about any questions.

Thrivent Match Funds: Thrivent Financial has raised the amount that can be donated to schools to $300/member. Thrivent also has added an incentive to have 65 members contribute to the school between July 1 and December 1. If we reach that goal Thrivent will add additional funding to our matching total. Contact the school office for forms and information.

Box Tops for Education: Continue to save Box Tops for Education on cereals and other products during the summer months. Each coupon is worth $. 10 towards funding for the school.

Campbell Soup Labels: Summertime may not be soup weather, but soups are used in casseroles and other summertime dishes. Also remember that product labels from Franc-American, Prego, Pace, Swanson, Healthy Request, V8, and Pepperidge Farm are also acceptable. Many labels bring added educational and physical education equipment to the school.

Ink Cartridges: We are also recycling printer ink cartridges at school. Drop them off at the office in the special box. Money from this project goes to our computer fund.

Aluminum Cans: All those aluminum cans we enjoy this summer can be recycled. The recycled cans can provide added funds for our playground. Bring them to school and take them down into the boiler rooms. Pleas do not leave them on the landing inside the front door. Thank you for your support.
