Grab your
shotgun and a bunch of shells and try shooting sporting clays to raise
some funds for Good Shepherd!s Parent Teacher League. This will be
a fun shoot - a great time for experienced shooters or for beginners
to try sporting clays. Bring a group of Sporting clays is a game similar to golf, but using a shotgun. A sporting clays course has ten stations (similar to golf holes) where you shoot at five pairs of clay targets. Each station has a different layout to present a different shooting simulation (e.g. pheasant, ducks, rabbits, quail, etc.). It takes about two hours to shoot a 100 clay course. GSLS will be holding a 100 - bird - sporting clays shoot with and included lunch at Oak Ridge Sportsman!s Club in Mackinaw, IL on Saturday, October 2, 2010. The Schedule of Events has: Registration . . . . 8 - 9 am The cost for the 100 - bird shoot and lunch is $70 per shooter. Please pre-register early either individually or with your group to reserve a starting spot in the shoot. There will be optional Five Stand and Flurry Shoots available at an additional cost from 9 am - 3 pm for anyone who would like to participate. For more information call . . . .
