Grab your shotgun and a bunch of shells and try shooting sporting clays to raise some funds for Good Shepherd!s Parent Teacher League. This will be a fun shoot - a great time for experienced shooters or for beginners to try sporting clays. Bring a group of
friends or come alone and join everyone for the fun and fellowship.

Sporting clays is a game similar to golf, but using a shotgun. A sporting clays course has ten stations (similar to golf holes) where you shoot at five pairs of clay targets. Each station has a different layout to present a different shooting simulation (e.g. pheasant, ducks, rabbits, quail, etc.). It takes about two hours to shoot a 100 clay course.

GSLS will be holding a 100 - bird - sporting clays shoot with and included lunch at Oak Ridge Sportsman!s Club in Mackinaw, IL on Saturday, October 2, 2010.
